Xuebin Wang is a visiting research associate professor in the Department of Energy, Environmental, and Chemical Engineering at Washington University in St. Louis, sponsored by the China Postdoctoral Foundation and professor Richard Axelbaum.
Dr. Wang obtained his bachelor’s degree and doctorate from Xi’an Jiaotong University in 2006 and 2012, respectively, and was subsequently appointed an assistant professor in Xi’an Jiaotong University. Since 2015, he has served as an associate professor in the School of Energy and Power Engineering, Department of Thermal Engineering at Xi’an Jiaotong University.
He has 50+ peer-reviewed journal publications, 10+ patents and 30+ conference papers.
Professor Wang’s research interests are on the fundamentals in the solid combustion process, including: biomass/coal combustion and co-firing; ash chemistry and deposition; SOx/NOx; fine particle emission; and reaction kinetics. His current research focuses on the gas/particle emission and control in oxy-fuel combustion under elevated pressure conditions.
